Meet Your Captain

I’m Captain Ian Towne, owner of Marine Adventures 30A. My family has called 30A home since 1972, and growing up here fueled my passion for the marine environment. With an M.S. in Marine Biology, my research has focused on fisheries, including artificial reefs, lionfish, and Hogfish, with a published study on Hogfish age and growth. After years in academia, I saw the need to share this valuable research with the public. Through Marine Adventures 30A, I aim to inspire a deeper appreciation for the ocean, helping to ensure our marine resources remain healthy for future generations.

Wildlife Encounters

We frequently encounter dolphins, osprey, bald eagles, Pelicans, rays, even the occasional manatee in warmer months and many more.
